These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form an agreement between you and Expense Tracker ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of the Expense Tracker web application (the "Service"). By creating an account or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and handle your data and forms part of this agreement.
You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher) to create an account. By registering, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you meet this age requirement.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.
You retain ownership of the expense, income (including any recurring income schedules you set up), category and budget data you enter into the Service ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to store and process Your Content solely for the purpose of operating and providing the Service to you. We do not access, view, or use Your Content for any purpose other than providing the Service, except where required by law or as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export Your Content as a CSV file at any time from the export feature, and you are responsible for keeping your own backups if needed.
Expense Tracker is a personal record-keeping and budgeting tool only. Nothing in the Service constitutes financial, tax, accounting, investment or legal advice, and we do not verify the accuracy of the data you enter. Any budgets, summaries or figures the Service shows you are based solely on the data you provided and are for informational purposes only. You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make.
The Service is provided free of charge. We aim to keep it available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time, including for maintenance, security, or other operational reasons, with or without notice.
The Service, including its design, code, logo and branding, is owned by Expense Tracker and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for Your Content, nothing in these Terms grants you any right, title, or interest in the Service or its underlying technology.
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or where required by law. Upon account deletion (by you or by us), your data is permanently removed as described in our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of errors, or that any data will never be lost.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Expense Tracker and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or financial loss, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
You agree to indemnify and hold Expense Tracker harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
These Terms and your use of the Service are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, regardless of where in the world you access the Service from. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law in your own country or region grants you additional rights that cannot be waived — those local rights continue to apply to you and take precedence over this clause.
We may update these Terms from time to time as the Service or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page, and for material changes we will make reasonable efforts to notify you (e.g. by email or an in-app notice) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
